Scottish Premier League: Is Livingston's second-stage favorite in the playoffs in Rose County?

In seven defeats and two draws, the county is second, Dundee is four points behind, and the county must be in trouble in this game.

By comparison, Livingston reached the final after a convincing 4-0-place semifinal defeat to Partick Thistle, barely losing in the title battle with Falkirk.

While the Highland side’s goal is to extend their six-year stay on the highest flight, Livingston aims to rebound for the first time after relegation last season.

One comfort for the county is that history must be one side of the Premier League team.

There are 10 Premier League playoff finals. Only three championship teams won to bring this leap up.

However, Livingston is an experience in one of these three promotion clubs. They were the winners of 2018, replacing Partick Thistle in the top flight.

The scale of the gap between the Premier League and the Champions is an often striking topic.

Although it's a tough season for the county, their players have been honing against higher players overall throughout the season, which must count as something.

Livingston, however, can point to their large number of players on their squad, with extensive Premier League experience – Stevie May, Ryan McGowan, Ryan McGowan, Danny Wilson and Scott Pittman, etc., have impressed on top flights over the years.

When it comes to live evidence of the recent match between the two divisions, Livingston lost 1-0 to St. Johnstone (St. Johnstone) in the quarterfinals of the Scottish Cup in March, where he was at the bottom of the Premier League.

However, it is said that Levi beat the county in the same match in January. It was a 3-2 victory in Dingwall, with Andrew Shinnie winning the title at the last minute of overtime.

Former Dundee captain Cammy Kerr knows the territory both in terms of Premier League and championships.

Queens Park defender believes Livingston poses a major threat to the Premier League.

“Livingston has a clear identity,” Kerr told Sportscene. “They are on the team and they have a lot more offense this season in the championship game.

"For me, it's a mindset. Livingston is on the rise. Ross County is the opposite. It does work."

Ronan Hale's 16 goals in all games will bring hope to the county. The Northern Ireland striker also scored in the last two games.

Defense is more of a problem. It's March 1, and a clean sheet was kept on one side of Dingwall.

As for Livingston, continuity is an 11 themes that have begun in the last five games.

But can it be the key to the county in this particular fixture?

This will be their third consecutive Premier League playoff final.

Back in 2023, they almost dealt with thistle from the dead. The total score on the Glasgow side was 3-0, and the second leg was still able to play in just 20 minutes.

In one of the greatest comebacks of all time in Scottish football, Staggies reorganized three goals before knocking the free throws.

It was a much more comfortable thing for the county last season as they beat the Raith Rovers 6-1 overall.

But that Rangers looked like a steam-exhausted side. Livingston couldn't say the same thing.
