Senator Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.
Senate Minority Leader said Republican senators who support Trump’s budget bill were “lifelong, worst suicide at best,” meaning that votes on legislative packages would have a negative impact on the ballot box.
"For many Americans, health care is the difference between life and death," Schumer said, whose new name for his budget bill against Trump comes from Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa. "According to Ernst, 'No fear. We'll die anyway.' Tell me, we're ready. We're ready to show Americans the real danger here because this battle will not only be won in the Capitol. As Abe Lincoln said, public sentiment is everything. When public sentiment hears this "act that we're all going to die," they'll hate it, and they'll tell their senators they hate it. And, if the senators think they can escape by 'yes' vote and explain it, then they're sadly wrong. The cut is too deep. The cut is too real. For people, the cut is too devastating."
He continued: "Why are they so mean? Why are they so cruel? Why are they so serving politically, committing suicide in the worst case? All taxes on billionaires. They are totally submissive. Donald Trump is. Regulations.'"
Schumer said the Congressional Budget Office found that if Trump's budget bill passes, it could increase from 13.7 million to as many as 16 million people, those who will lose health insurance are estimated to lose health insurance.

A handful of Republican senators have expressed hesitation about Trump's "big and beautiful bill" over concerns about increasing national debt and budget caps, but Senate Majority Leader John leader said the upper room is still passing the parcel by the July 4 deadline as negotiations are underway. Meanwhile, Trump and the White House insist that the bill will invoke a lot of growth for the country.
Schumer accused Trump of "just lying."
“We were told that 11 million people were cut off by billionaires’ affordable food tax cuts. “We’re all dead.” "This shows the ruthlessness of this Republican Republican majority in the House and Senate. Abolish and replace. It's another name, with another name."

Schumer cuts Republicans’ commitment to fight waste, fraud and abuse by making the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) permanently pass the bill.
"Now, Trump and Republicans claim they want to fight fraud. Bull, Bull," he said.

"Let me tell our Republican Senate colleagues that what will be promulgated is not the soothing words of Donald Trump, but the reality of people losing health care, people's premiums, hospitals closures, nursing home closures and people being fired," Schumer said. "So anyone who thinks they are voting for Donald Trump's good words will face a harsh reality when implementing this."
