The couple is known for the role of the TV show "Chrisley North's Best" who was convicted in 2022 on suspicion of over $30 million to maintain their extravagant lifestyle.
Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison after an Atlanta jury found him guilty of conspiracy to fraud, tax evasion and deceiving the United States. Julie Chrisley was sentenced to seven years in prison for similar crimes.
Savannah Chrisley, speaking at the Republican National Convention in July, was crucial in petitioning for the release of his parents, a process she began before Trump’s second inauguration. Chrisleys formally requested a pardon in February.
The lawyer for Alex Little's Chrisleys said Wednesday that the two were "indicted for being celebrities".
In another Instagram post Wednesday, Savannah Chrisley thanked the Trump administration for achieving “impossibility.”
"This battle has never been us. It's every family torn apart by injustice," she wrote. "Every parent, every child, every person is silent or broken by a system that often forgets the human beings behind the headlines."
Peter Tarantino, a former accountant for Chrisleys, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Wednesday that he also plans to apply for a presidential pardon from Trump. Tarantino was convicted in 2022 along with Chrisleys and sentenced to three years in prison.
Tarantino's attorney did not return a request for comment.
