Sarah Silverman is public for the first time, with her father telling her the shocking story of the death of her only brother.

The 54-year-old comedian and actor said in a new interview with Rolling Stone that she and her siblings grew up believing that Jeffrey died of a baby in a crib accident.

Everything changed when Silverman’s father, Donald Silverman, told her in 2022 that he believed Jeffrey was shocked by his grandfather Max Max.

Sarah Silverman told the publication that Sarah Silverman told the publication: "The story is something happened in the crib, Jeffrey's little body slipping off, and he suffocated. But if you look back, there's never a lawsuit in Crib Company or anything else."

The former "Sarah Silverman" star said his father heard Jeffrey's narrative in her Broadway musical The Bedwetter, based on her 2010 best-selling memoir of the same name.

Silverman recalled: “My father said, ‘I always felt he was crying and my father shook him.’ “’ He shook him angrily and killed him. '"

"He said, that's 'Of course, that's what happened," Silverman recalled. "His mother was always standing next to her husband. She watched him defeat his son. I couldn't ask my mom because she was dead."

Silverman describes his father's childhood as "heartbreaking" because of his grandfather's abuse.

She said: “His father defeated him ruthlessly every day. He had a younger brother who was untouched.

On a 2022 visit to Today, Silverman said her "silly retarded" musical re-examines the challenges of her own childhood — including struggling with anxiety and exercise — and their impact on parents and three sisters.

She said: "I'm the youngest, so I'm so happy. I made my family laugh.

She added: "Bedwitt is about a lucky kid, but it broke down and the family broke down."
