Oklahoma City - The Sooners' offense didn't really appear in the Women's College World Series. Entering Sunday with Oregon's DO or DIE game, Sooners only need something.
In fact, they did get something, and it comes from a (somehow) unexpected place.
In Dezianna Patmon Kilston Trading At the top of the second inning. But when the response appears immediately at the bottom of the frame Isabela Blasted a lone home run in the left field.
At the bottom of the third game, Cydney Sanders Two home runs followed, giving the Sooners a 3-1 lead.
The sequence was crucial for Oregon, who beat Oregon at Devon Park, to beat Oregon 4-1, and maintained hope in the Women's College World Series.
With the victory, the Sooners advanced to the WCWS semi-final against Texas Tech on Monday.
The veteran duo helped give the Sooners a lead, but Sanders didn't finish there. Sanders scored her second home run in the fifth after OU scored no points in the fourth inning.
It marks the 13th home run of the season for Sanders and her second multiple home games. Sanders now won five professional home runs at the WCWS.
This is a much-needed attack from Elemling and Sanders. Emerling only hits twice in her last 23 games, while the NCAA Championship was 9-1. Sanders was 2 of 14 in the NCAA Championship. But in the Ducks' game, they accounted for all four games.
Considering that Sooners meets the moving runner again, this is a much-needed weightlift. Kasidi Pickering and She Parker Back to back hit the bottom of the first one, but both were stranded to keep their feet on. Pickering and Parker were first base and third base respectively in the second inning. Sydney Barker Crashed and let them stay.
The Sooners left eight runners behind, which has been a problem with WCWS.
However, the Sooners avoided Oregon's offensive rhythm. Deal started the circle and allowed four hits and got 1 run in 2.2 innings, hitting three batsmen without any walking. Sam Landry Entered in the second inning and threw in the game for the rest of the process, allowing only two hits while hitting six hitters at the same time.
The Sooners improved to 52-8 this season. Oregon's season ended with a 54-10 record.
The Sooners will clash with Texas Tech at 7 p.m. (ESPN) on Monday and will need to beat Red Raiders twice to enter the WCWS Championship Series. If unnecessary games are scheduled for 9:30 pm
