Ryan Gosling is heading to a great galaxy far, far away.

The three-time Oscar nominee is in talks for a nomination Star Wars Featured projects will be deadpool and wolverine Filmmaker Sean Levy.

Details on any Star Wars project are harder to come by than plans for an orbiting planet killer, and this one is no exception. Levy has been developing his Star Wars feature film since 2022, with Jonathan Tropper working with Levy on films like Star Wars This is where I leave you and Adam Projecthas been working on the script for over a year. Levy will also produce the film through his 21 Laps banner along with Star Wars executive Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm.

It's unclear when Levy's project will be finalized. The story of Star Wars has spanned hundreds of years, detailing stories of galactic republics, dictatorships, and rebellions. It's unclear if this involves the Jedi and their enemies the Sith. However, it has nothing to do with the so-called Skywalker Saga, which centers on well-known and beloved characters Luke Skywalker and his father Anakin.

Sources say it's supposed to be an independent film hollywood reporter. Lucasfilm has not commented on any upcoming deals or details of the project.

Sources say Gosling's development is a late move in Levy's film schedule. The filmmaker hopes to direct a boy band movie shot at Paramount that would reunite him with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. But Gosling's interest and involvement suddenly moved the Star Wars project into hyperspace. If a deal is reached, the project would go on to fly like the Millennium Falcon and become not only Levy's next film, but the next Star Wars movie to go into production, possibly starting this fall. Gosling's addition would mark a rare addition of a true A-list star to a Star Wars film.
