Russia aims Ukraine with its largest drone strike, but a call from Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is just hours after the war is over.
Russia launched a total of 273 explosive drones and baits on Sunday, targeting Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions in Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Of these, 88 people were intercepted, 128 were lost, and they might be blocked by electronics.
Yuriy Ihnat, head of the Air Force Communications Department, told the Associated Press that the barrage is the largest drone attack since the full invasion began in February 2022.

"The theme of the call will be to stop 'bloody' from killing more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week and conducting trade," Trump wrote on Saturday. "I will then talk to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and then to President Zelenskyy of various members of NATO."
"Hopefully this will be a productive day, there will be a ceasefire, this very violent war, a war that will never happen will end," Trump added. "God bless us all!!!"

Russia's largest known drone attack on Ukraine was on the eve of the war's third anniversary, when Russia slammed Ukraine with 267 drones.
Kiev Region Governor Mykola Kalashnyk reportedly said a 28-year-old woman was killed in a drone attack on Sunday, and three other people, including a 4-year-old child, were injured.

Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio held ongoing peace talks in Zelenskyy in Rome on Sunday.
"In our talks, we discussed the negotiations in Istanbul and the Russians sent a delegation of low-level non-decision makers. I reiterate that Ukraine is ready for real diplomacy and stressed the importance of a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire as soon as possible," Zelenskyy shared on X about the meeting on X. ”
"We also talked about the need for Russia, bilateral trade, defense cooperation, battlefield situations and upcoming prisoner exchanges. Pressure on Russia is needed until they are eager to stop the war. Of course, we talked about our shared steps to achieve a just and durable peace," he continued. ”
