According to comScore, Warner Bros. was ranked No. 1 in the UK and Ireland box office this weekend, which opened to an effective £4 million ($5.3 million).
In the third week, Disney's Marvel movie Thunderbolts* fell to second, but still made $1.6 million, with a total operation of $18.5 million. Warner Bros. followed by the third in the fifth weekend, making £718,770. The film has now reached $19.2 million.
After seven weeks, "Minecraft Movie" remains the top five, adding $630,986 to bring its cumulative total to $74.1 million. The elevated environmental documentary “Oceans with David Attenborough” finished fifth for $285,429, now $1.4 million in two weeks.
The new British work "The Rapid of Tomorrow" released by Lionsgate UK made its debut in sixth place for $254,125. Warner Bros. "Accountants 2" continued for the seventh time, adding $149,259 to a total of $3.4 million on the fourth weekend.
Universal's thriller Halloween Road opened for $109,596, while Trafalgar's event film "Ateez World Tour (To The Light the Light: Will to Cinemas in Cinemas" both won $80,004, landing in the Ninth.
Sony's Until Dawn won the top ten for $79,230 on its fourth weekend, totaling £2.2 million.
This week, a wide variety of titles are released in British and Irish cinemas, including action tentacles, global Athens and classical art shows, giving each audience something.
Tuesday, May 20, see "On-Screen Exhibition: Michelangelo - Love and Death", exhibited by the Seventh Art Work. On Thursday, May 22, Trafalgar released “Ballet to Broadway: Wheeldon Works – London’s 2025 Roh”, paying tribute to choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.
