Cristiano Ronaldo has made his third straight year and the fifth time in his career to Forbes' list of the highest-paid athletes in the world.
Ronaldo's total revenue was about $275 million after moving to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
The Portuguese striker added $15 million through non-on-field endorsements and lucrative sponsorship deals backed by his large social media followers: a total of 939 million as of May.
Despite financial windfall, Ronaldo's move to the Saudi Pro League has not yet produced any major trophys to the same many titles he has won at Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry became the first NBA player to reach 4,000 career three-pointers in March, jumping to second place at $156 million in the rankings.
Boxer Tyson Fury won third place for $146 million. Despite losing his world heavyweight title to Oleksandr Usyk in December, Fury's revenue was boosted by a partnership that boosted Malta's tourism industry and his Netflix reality show.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott ranked fourth with $137 million thanks to record signing bonuses and lucrative contracts.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi of Argentina fell to fifth place with $135 million (same as last year), moved to the MLS Side Inter Miami CF and continued to gain high-profile representation from Adidas and Apple.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Lebron James approached his outstanding career, ranking sixth with $133.8 million.
Major League Baseball Metropolitan Metropolis outfielder Juan Soto won $114 million in seventh place. The 26-year-old Dominican signed a $765 million 15-year contract, the largest in baseball history.
French striker Karim Benzema plays for Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad, who earns $104 million.
Baseball star Shohei Ohtani ranked ninth with $102.5 million, with much of his revenue coming out of most of his contracts with MLB team The Los Angeles Dodgers. Last year, the Dodgers’ World Series victory greatly increased his revenue.
Phoenix's NBA star Kevin Durant won the top 10 with a record of $114 million.
