After dealing with vampires NosferatuFilmmaker Robert Eggers is taking on another take on the horror creature genre in his own unique style.
Eggers co-authored Wolfowa werewolf horror project, and he will direct his next film.
Focus Features, the arthouse film division of Universal Pictures, distributes and finances Nosferature-collaborating with filmmakers Wolfow. The company has confirmed that the thriller will be released in North America on Christmas 2026. Eggers wrote Wolfow An exciting Viking saga co-written with Sjón northerners with the filmmakers. Although details are sparse, sources say the story takes place in 13th-century England. The script also features dialogue that is true to the period, with translations and annotations for those unfamiliar with Old English.

Suffice it to say, given the setting and dialect, Eggers promises to once again delve into a period of mud, pageantry and violence consistent with his work, which has earned him a devoted cinematic following.
Both Eggers and Sjón will produce with Focus Features. Chris and Eleanor Columbus, who worked with Eggers Nosferatuwill executive produce.
Focus, run by Peter Kujawski, has distributed all of Eggers' films and has collaborated with Eggers, including Northman and his early films, witch and lighthouse. Focus handles international distribution through Universal International lighthouse.
