Sources told ESPN that American men's national team player Richard Ledezma is weighing his future at PSV Eindhoven in the interests of several clubs including Liga MX MX giant Chivas.
Ledezma, 24, has been at the Dutch Eredivisie Club in the Netherlands since 2020, scoring two goals in 38 appearances, but his current contract expires this summer.
A source told ESPN that PSV offered an extension to Ledezma, but the versatile defender/midfielder is considering his next move before he can push his future to the club.
Sources said that other clubs in Mexico and other clubs in Italy and the teams in England's second-tier champions expressed interest in Ledezma.
ESPN reported in January that Ledezma was interested in Liga MX Side Club América, but the Dutch champion in dominance rejected the approach.
Head coach Peter Bosz confirmed the club's desire to keep Ledezma after PSV 1-0 defeating Fortuna Sittard on Saturday.
"I can imagine his future in his mind," he told ESPN. "It's logical when your contract expires. We want to keep him, but if other clubs are interested, that will make you a player busy."
The future of Ledezma on the international stage is also not clear. Mexico national team head coach Javier Aguirre confirmed in February that he contacted Dual National Ledezma before the March international window to discuss his future with El Tri.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Ledezma was a former Mexican parent and published specifically for USMNT, he made his debut against France in March 2018, before continuing to play for the U.S. youth team on three other occasions.
He made a appearance for the senior U.S. men's national team in a friendly match against Panama in November 2020.
But Ledezma, who holds a U.S. and Mexican passport, is still eligible to serve El Tri.
With the Dutch league season over, Ajax, the leader of the PSV cross country, has seven points in his hand. If PSV loses to Fortuna Sittard on Saturday, Ajax can win the title against NEC on May 11.
