Rich Rodriguez shows interest in joining Nick Saban

President Donald Trump can be seen in college football games, UFC events and even NASCAR games. Trump loves to participate in sports events and has recently entered the field of college sports, trying to create orders in the wild West (i.e. college sports).

The current zero system in place will inevitably cause problems. This spring marks the first player to practice in a currency dispute. Players currently have all the power, and there is no guardrail about how many schools can pay players, making it unfair in a sense.

So far, NIL has been used uselessly. Initially, NILs were placed in place so that players could make money by holding their signatures and jerseys in their name. But now, boosters are used to pay players to their alma mater.

Trump is reportedly involved. Trump is reportedly setting up a college athletics committee that will be reportedly led by former West Virginia and college football legend Nick Saban and Texas businessman Cody Campbell. The committee will regulate transfer portals, boosters and employment for college athletes.
This will be the first leader in college sports and it is possible to create systems with structure.
Saban may not be the only West Virginian on the committee. In a recent interview with Sirius XM, Rich Rodriguez showed interest in helping his friend Saban.

"If they want an active coach, I'll give him my cell number," Rodriguez said. "I'll love that sucker. I have some experience. From a current perspective, I can help. I don't know if they need me."

Like Saban, Rodriguez has been coaching for a long time, unlike Saban and much less champions, but he has seen the sport change and evolution.

Rodriguez expressed his problems in the NCAA throughout the spring. Rodriguez doesn't like the limit on the roster to 105, a spring portal where all the players you coach in the spring can leave, and how to pay how much of the players.

Rodriguez has a background as a candidate for the committee.

So far, it sounds like Saban will lead. Rodriguez agrees that this should be the greatest college football coach of all time.

"He is the greatest college football coach of all time," Rodriguez said. "He generally has a lot of hands on the game...he's really about college football."

Almost all professional sports leagues have a specialist to solve the problems of the entire league. College football is not because it is dominated by the NCAA. After the NIL passed, the NCAA lost all its strength and left it to schools and players, causing chaos.

There is no action to create the guardrail, and it starts to get out of control. With so much, Trump feels the need to intervene.

College sports, more specifically college football, is a billion-dollar entertainment business. Before further collapse, there must be structure. Saban is a favorite to lead the next generation of college track and field, and West Virginia's Rodriguez may also help.

“College football is a great entity and it’s hard to mess up,” Rodriguez said. “You can do whatever you want to do. Still have a passion for your school and the kind of passion that athletes are. We’ve done enough to mess up it over the past few years.”
