Rescue drivers rescued two days in the Japanese sewage pit | Japan

Japanese rescue workers were struggling with a sewage pit near Tokyo two days ago when the truck fell into a sewage pit near Tokyo.

According to reports, the hole was 10 meters and 10 meters deep. It opened at a crossroads in Yashio, Sitama County on Tuesday morning, swallowing the 74 -year -old truck driver and his two tons of cars.

The rescue mission was reported on Thursday that water is infiltrating into the hole, which is a new urgency. Due to the concerns of the underground gas pipes in the area, residents living within the radius of the location have been told to evacuate.

After the second sinking appeared, it temporarily stopped the attempt of the person who had not been named by the Japanese media in the early morning of Wednesday. A video editing showed that workers began to cover the restaurant signboard, and the second sewage pit swallowed the telegram.

Public Broadcasting Corporation NHK said that these two holes have now joined a large gap on the road because rescue attempts have entered the third day.

NHK added that local officials believe that the first collapse may be caused by the rupture of the sewage pipes, and the second time is due to the leaked wastewater scattered the surrounding soil.

People are worried about the man's benefits. Media reported that he was able to talk to first -aid personnel shortly after the incident, but when the firefighters summoned him later on the same day, he did not respond.

Asahi Shimbun reported that Wednesday morning, the water began to accumulate in the cave, drowned the driver's seat, and added that the man's condition was unknown.

The county government decided to discharge wastewater into the nearby river to reduce the inflow into the sewage pit, and 1.2 million residents of nearby urban and cities were told that less water was used.

Mainichi Shimbun said that it is unclear when the sewage pipe is fixed and added that the wastewater was disinfected by chlorine before being released in the river.

Officials believe that the first hole formed by the sewer corrosion, the hole extends 10 meters below the ground. They suspected that the soil and sand entered the pipeline to form a hollow, which collapsed under the weight of the vehicle.

Motohiro Ono, Governor of Sitama County, told reporters on Wednesday: "We cannot rule out the possibility of the expansion of the sewage pit."

The evacuated residents were forced to pass the overnight municipal government office and other facilities.

A local told Yomiuri Shimbun, "I never thought that the sewage pit would become so serious." Another person said, "Worried that another sewage pit may be formed near my home. I may not be able to go home for a while."
