The inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump will be one of the most transformative moments in our nation's history. The mainstream media, the political establishment, not even assassin’s bullets can stop Donald J. Trump. On Inauguration Day, I will be in Washington, D.C., representing the great state of Arkansas, cheering as Trump puts his hand on the Bible, takes the oath of office, and becomes our nation’s 47th President.

For Republican governors across the country, the moment can't come soon enough.

The final four years of the Biden-Harris presidency have been disastrous for our country. Where government fails, governors must act on the economy, borders and public safety. We are ready to put a partner and a fighter back in the White House.

Shortly after I took office in 2023, Biden's border crisis reached its peak, with thousands of illegal immigrants entering our country every day. Arkansas joins other Republican-led states in sending National Guard personnel to the southern border to assist our friends in Texas. That summer, I traveled there to thank our Guardsmen and see firsthand the Biden border crisis.

Everything I saw and heard was heartbreaking: National Guard troops sweating in temperatures over 100 degrees, enough fentanyl flowing across our border to stop the heart of every American multiple times , while the migrants President Joe Biden is allegedly helping often die of exhaustion in the desert.

We will soon have a president who takes border security seriously. Republican governors are in lockstep with the incoming president and are ready to drive violent illegal immigrants out of our state and keep our nation safe.

Biden's failures also extend to the economy. Under his reckless tax and spending policies, prices nationwide have risen by more than 20%. For everyday items like eggs, milk, rent and gasoline, inflation has put American families in a difficult position.

As governor, I went into communities across our state and met with people who truly cannot afford these price increases: moms who have to skip their own dinners to keep their kids from going hungry, restaurateurs who have to feed their kids . Employees go because food prices have risen so much that families can't go on vacation this summer because gas prices are too expensive.

My administration has cut taxes three times to ease the burden on these families, and I'm working to responsibly eliminate Arkansas' personal income tax entirely. But for families in need today, Trump can help. He promised tax cuts for hard-working middle-class families and, more importantly, he promised to cut wasteful spending that fuels inflation in the first place.

What I'm most excited about about the new Trump administration is this: The American people will finally have a leader in the White House again. Biden has taken a hostile approach toward state leaders who dare to disagree with his administration.

He tried to rewrite Title IX to allow men to get women's scholarships and force boys into girls' locker rooms. Arkansas sued his administration and won—but we really shouldn’t be fighting the federal government over common sense issues like this.

Biden’s EPA is notorious for its regulatory overreach. His bureaucrats operate from computer screens in Washington, trying to regulate Arkansas factories and businesses out of existence based on shoddy forecasts and distorted research. Arkansas is again suing the federal government. It would be great to have a president who truly understands how to run a business making decisions for some of our state's largest employers.

When it comes to education, health care and other major federal spending priorities, the Biden administration is more interested in executing partisan politics than delivering help to Americans in need. Trump will refocus the federal government’s attention on the people.

About this time eight years ago, my husband, Brian, and I were frantically packing up our house in Little Rock and preparing to move our family—including three young children—to Washington, D.C., so that I could be there for the first time. I started my work during the Trump administration. Today, I am preparing to travel to Washington again, but as a sitting Governor.

Times have changed, but my loyalty to President Trump has not. I know this president has never been better equipped or prepared to make America great again — and I can guarantee Republican governors will stand with him every step of the way.
