Renée Zellweger criedly filming Colin Firth scene in "Bridget Jones"

Renée Zellweger admitted that when she first met her Costar Hugh Grant in "Bridget Jones Diary," she was "hard" because she was "so fan".

"I'm so nervous, I just don't want to bother myself." "I didn't succeed." She noted that in college, she lived on an independent cinema and would see all British films appear, including "Morris" and "Improvisation".

"I just thought, 'Oh my god, he's so handsome!' Are I going to do a movie with him now?" Zellweger said.

Zellweger spoke to audiences on Saturday after the FYC screening of Bridget Jones: Mad the Boy, the fourth and final part of the Rom-Com series, adapted from the novel by Helen Fielding and now played on Peacock. The two-time Academy Award winner reflects on 25 years of playing a beloved character and her chemistry with other actors. She also stayed for nearly two hours on Q&A, talking to attendees at a reception that included a tea sandwich and a shepherd’s pie. Also director Michael Morris, who talks about casting Chewitel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall as Bridget’s love interest in the latest film.

"I'm absolutely focused on trying to get Leo and Chewentel in the movie," Morris said. Morris details how Zellweger meets the kids first in the rehearsal on his birthday. "They are British kids and they can be very reserved," Morris said. "From the beginning it's like 'Hello' and then, literally, within about 45 minutes, they crawl onto you.

When asked about the secrets of good chemistry, Zellweger replied: "I'm really lucky, I love the people I work with. There's always a lot of things I admire (about them), and we always seem to have a good time."

Although Firth's role was gone when the movie was opened, the actor did return in the movie, which was a vision for his legacy. Morris, who wanted to know how Zellweger cried while filming those scenes, revealed: "She did!"

Zellweger added that it was a difficult scene to shoot because her character shouldn't have lost her husband and been peaceful with her four years ago. "However, it was interesting to me to see him there on the sidewalk of his Mark Darcy decorations," she admitted. "I didn't expect the end of the journey with my friends to realize, 'Oh wait, he's going to wrap up today, that's all.' It's really an intuition."

"Aren't you crazy?" Zellweger smiled and said, "Maybe I'm crazy, because maybe I like fictional characters!" ”
