Recording Academy announces "condensed" Grammy Week schedule for 2025

The Recording Academy has released a revised 2025 Grammy Week event schedule that focuses the organization's efforts on its "most impactful events" in the wake of multiple devastating wildfires that continue to burn in Los Angeles.

As previously announced, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards will continue to be televised on February 2 on CBS, but will have a "new sense of purpose: to raise more funds to support wildfire relief efforts , and salute the bravery and dedication of the first responders.” Risking your own life to protect ours,” the announcement said.

Since launching last week's Los Angeles fire relief effort to support music professionals, the Recording Academy and MusiCares have raised and committed more than $2 million in emergency assistance to musicians affected by wildfires.

The statement continued that in an effort to provide the greatest support not only for members of the music community, but for all those affected by the crisis in Los Angeles and across the city, many of the events that traditionally make up Grammy Week have been canceled or repurposed.

Nearly every Grammy Week event not related to the Academy has been canceled or postponed, including traditional parties hosted by major music companies. Sadly, this situation has become a familiar one, as the 2021 and 2022 Grammy Awards have also been significantly modified due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recording Academy and MusiCares CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said: "We understand how devastating this past week has been to this city and its people. This is our home and the home for thousands of Home for music professionals, many of us have been negatively impacted." So, after careful consideration, multiple assurances from state and local elected leaders, public safety agencies, and the support of our incredible community of artists, we have decided to move forward with the GRAMMY telecast and select events. GRAMMY Week 2025 will not only celebrate music, but harness the power of music to help rebuild, revitalize and support those in need. "

The revised GRAMMY Week event schedule is as follows:

Friday, January 31st

· MusiCares Person of the Year Charity Gala Honors the Grateful Dead

Saturday, February 1

· Special Merit Awards Ceremony and Grammy Nominee Reception

· Clive Davis and the Recording Academy’s Pre-Grammy Fundraiser
