Reality TV's Chrisley family lands in new lifelong documentary

The Chrisleys will be back soon, even if their patriarch and patriarch are still locked.

Lifetime has given the official green light to an untitled documentary about the reality TV Chrisley family, which was sentenced to federal prisons in November 2022 for bank fraud and tax evasion.

The series is scheduled to be released in 2025, and behind the executive producers are “Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson” and “Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson” and “Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson” and “Surviving R. Kelly” by Bunim/Murray Productions.

The official summary reads: "The family faces a challenge of having only phone calls and a brief visit with incarcerated parents and visiting Chrisley's name and legacy. While Savannah maintains custody of her young siblings, Chloe and Grayson, she has been providing her parents with nothing to do with Jody."

The project is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, a part of Banijay Americas. Executive producers include Julie Pizzi, Farnaz Farjam, Jesse Daniels, Rit Saraswat, Savannah Chrisley and Chase Chrisley, and perform production with Nicole Blais. Brie Miranda Bryant and Nicole Vogel's executive product life.

Apple TV+ released its first look at Platonic Season 2, a half-hour comedy and executive starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. The second 10-episode season will premiere worldwide on August 6, with two of which will be held in new episodes every week through October 1.

Founded, directed and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesa Delbanco, the "Platonic" Season 2 takes over with Will and Sylvia (Rogen and Byrne) as they "fight against new middle-aged barriers, including new mid-term barriers, including work, wedding and partner in crisis" according to the press release. The show for Season 2 also includes Luke Macfarlane and Carla Gallo, and introduces Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett as guest stars.

"Platonic" is produced by Sony Pictures TV, Stoller's global solutions overall deal. Byrne, Stoller, Delbanco and Conor Welch execute products and Point Gray Pictures by Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver.

"Family Law" Season 4 will officially return to this summer's CW on Wednesday, July 23.

The season begins with the life of lawyers and resuming alcoholic Jewel staite, which is totally chaotic, with Sofia (Eden Summer Gilmore of Eden Summer) writing about her mom’s addiction after her boyfriend Benjamin Ayres fell, and Harry (Victor Garber) is all over her. "Washington Black", starring Sterling K. Brown, starring Sterling K. Brown and executives, will premiere eight episodes on Hulu on July 23. The new series will land on Disney+ as International Disney+, based on Esi Edugyan’s 2018 novel of the same name and follows George Washington “Wash” Black, an 11-year-old boy born in the Barbados Sugar Plantation in the 19th century.

According to the overview, "Black Washington" follows Wash as his "huge scientific thinking takes him on an unexpected path to fate. He enters an Earth-wide adventure, challenging and reshaping his understanding of family, freedom and love."

Series star Ernest Kingsley Jr. "Washington Black" is produced by TV No. 20 in collaboration with Indian Grass Production and Gotham Group.

Brown executives are with Selwyn Hinds, Kim Harrison, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Wanuri Kahiu, Mo Marable, Rob Seidenglanz, Jeremy Bell, Lindsay Williams, DJ Goldberg, Jennifer Johnson and Anthony Hemingway. Hinds and Harrison are also showcasers of the series, produced by Esi Edugyan.

According to the press release, Mickey Mouse (and friends) is joining the Formula One World, part of a new collaboration between Disney and Formula One 1, which was launched in 2026. According to the press release, the new relationship will include “global experience, content and merchandise.”

"The Road of Fire" director Nathaniel Lezra has signed with RSA Entertainment as a representative in writing and director. The signing comes ahead of the 2025 Brooklyn Film Festival New York's "Fire Road" premiere.

The film won Best Documentary when it premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and has since been exploring the shelter of a New York life amid the global immigration crisis.

"This movie is as important as the cost of immigration policy and has to do with the resilience of the people affected by it," Lezra said. "Given that the story unfolds in Brooklyn, where it premieres New York, a festival known for espousing bold, socially conscious storytelling - very meaningful."
