Razorbacks drop LSU series, blowout loss in second game

No.7 Arkansas Razorbacks (40-11, 17-9 SEC) lost 13-3 games at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in Saturday's match against the No. 3 LSU Tigers (40-11, 17-9 SEC).

Starter Count Gage Wood made only two innings - he allowed four hits, four runs and walked two hitters away with two strikeouts - was pulled away after throwing 60.

Arkansas' offense was horrifying, with 28 holes on the plate with 12 punches and only 12 walks. The razor left seven men on the base and loaded the base with a score of 2-2.

Five pig pitchers combined for 4.2 innings in the bullpen, with seven hits, eight runs, seven walks and six strikeouts.

Top No. 1:

Louisiana State starter Anthony Eyanson welcomed Arkansas’ top three batsmen - Charles Davalan, Wehiwa Aloy and Logan Maxwell and ranked No. 1 with strikeouts and two grounds.

The first at the bottom:

Gage Wood's strikelessness was broken by the first batsman, which was a full single in the middle. He rebounded with a strikeout before walking onto the Tiger's three holes. That Free Pass returned to biting wood, which then allowed three innings to give LSU a 3-0 lead. Wood was marked by another single but stood out with the fielder's choice.

Once Wood gave up a home run and walk to start his second frame, pitching coach Matt Hobbs made a quick visit. Wood hit 4-0 to 4-0, using strikeouts, lineups and flights to get out of the situation.

Top third:

Ryder Helfrick gave Arkansas the first lead with a singles bun. Reese Robinett was on foot with a four-link walk across the base, and Justin Thomas Jr. Jr. beat Davalan single loading base. But, Wehiwa Aloy and Maxwell's back-to-back KS trapped runners into base.

Bottom third:

Bullpen Righty Ben Bybee took over the mound in the third inning and was personally welcomed in the field to the right. He followed for a walk, then went out with two direct shots and strikeouts.

Top 4:

Kuhio Aloy singled on the right, giving the pig another lead, but he was also stranded after Iredale and Helfrick's Kozeal seats and punches.

Bottom 4:

The fourth time Bybee's thing started to disband, as Iredale's mistake, LSU single, stepping on the Tigers' base loaded without exit. After a quick mound visit, Bybee recorded the dirty. Arkansas called on Colin Fisher to escape the jam, which he mostly did with two outs and walking and running. The Tigers then led 6-0.

Top 5:

The fifth at the bottom:

Arkansas had more bad news at the bottom of the fifth inning as Fisher walked the lead, allowed a single, and threw a wild court to push two runners. LSU and Pig got Tate McGuire's bag from the pen, making him get Tate McGuire from the pen. The fielder's choice of RBI's ground and singles made it 9-0. Then a three-wheeled bomb hit it 12-0, LSU.

Top 6:

Wehiwa Aloy takes off and starts sixth. Maxwell singles, Kuhio Aloy pops up, Kozeal singles provide two men in Arkansas. Iredale erupted to end the pig's comeback threat.

The sixth at the bottom:

Freshman bullpen arm Steele Eaves rushed out of the frame from the pen, providing one of the cleanest innings of the day. He allowed two basemen to walk and then walk, but hit them with swing and strikeouts.

Top 7:

Helfrick led the doubles and Robinett left. Thomas scored right in a single, scoring the first inning for Arkansas. The Tigers changed the pitcher to DJ Primeaux, who gave up a RBI single to Davalan, giving the Tigers a 12-2 score. Louisiana State University (LSU) calls on Jaden Noot to get out of the situation. Wehiwa Aloy eliminated, but both wild courts raised two runners.

Maxwell Sac-Fly scored a break in running rules, while Kuhio Aloy's ground ended the frame.

Bottom 7:

Arkansas left-handed hunter Hunter Dietz made his debut and flashed his tall velvet early. He played with ground and strikeouts in his early singles, but another strikeout scored the runners and won the race.
