Prime Minister Rachel Reeves announced that it would modify plans to abolish non -DOM identity to make tax benefits more generous.
Reeves told the audience at the World Economic Forum in Davos that they will change the upcoming legislation to improve the generosity of facilities to help non -creditors return their funds to Britain.
Non -DOM status enables people living in the UK to avoid making money from foreign countries to pay British taxes, because their permanent residence is abroad for taxes.
The Labor Party promised to cancel its identity in the election declaration, saying that it would solve the unfairness of the tax system and raise additional funds for public services.
However, critics have raised concerns that these changes may promote the rich to leave the UK.
Report released earlier this week Henley & Partners, a global analysis company New World Wealth and Investment Immigration Advisor, left Britain in 2024, and 10 million people left the UK a year last year.
Analysts listed the factors including non -DOMS and other wealthy people, as well as the United States and Asia's dominance in the technology field and the importance of the London Stock Exchange.
Reeves said at a event hosted by Wall Street Journal: "We have been listening to the concerns of the non -DOM community."
It will be changed to temporary repatriation facilities, which is a three -year plan to help non -DOMS bring its assets to Britain at a discount tax rate.
Tangning Street said that these adjustments will be carried out through the "Amendment to the Financial Act", and the overall method of changing the government's "replacement of outdated non -tax system".
Prime Minister's official spokesman said that the new system "solves the unfairness of our tax system, attracts Britain's best talents and investment, and ensures that each of the long -term residents of the UK pays taxes here."
A spokesman for the Ministry of Finance said that these changes are expected to not affect £ 3.8 billion, and the policy is expected to be improved by government independent forecasters in the next five years.
The spokesman added: "The temporary repatriation facility aims to encourage non -DOMS to bring their funds to Britain, and encourage them to spend and invest here."
However, Nigel Green, CEO of Global Financial Consulting Deverter Group, said the announcement has been "trapped" with individuals among investors and rich people.
He said: "The vague proposal of adjusting the rules neither provides a clarity nor reversed the guarantee that has been caused."
"The Labor Party's budget collapsed in front of us.
"In the election work, their plans will raise funds, and now they are forced to admit their plans to reduce Britain's attractiveness.
"But the loss has caused-tax revenue is equivalent to hundreds of thousands of taxpayers."
At the same time, the Scottish Nationalist Party accused the Prime Minister of "Davos Trading for Millionaires", saying that the government had "quickly lost contact."
The party's economic spokesman, Dave Doogan, said that Reeves "listen to a millionaire", but "the difficulties of millions of people struggling in the crisis of living costs turn a deaf ear".
Reeves chose to announce the relaxation of Davos to relax, which is a multi -faceted effort to show the willingness to change the policy to help economic growth.
On Wednesday, she also began to change the visa to allow top talents and drug research to allow artificial intelligence (AI) to come to the UK.
Some people in some industries believe that the British will have the opportunity to have the top talents of poaching science and drugs from AI in the United States and the United States under the AI of the new government and the European Union.
