
Quinta Brunson, a star and executive producer of “Abbott Elementary”, is about to be the key to her hometown of Philadelphia. Brunson Wil will be from Mayor Cherelle L. as part of the celebration to be held Wednesday, May 28, Brunson Wil will be from Mayor Cherelle L.
The school inspired ABC and Warner Bros. TV’s “Abbott Elementary School”, where Brunson plays the idealist teacher Janine Teagues. The mural is a mural designed by local artist Athena Scott and creates the input of students and faculty at Hamilton School.
Scott, teachers and students of Hamilton, as well as representatives of the Art of Murals, Philadelphia City Council and Philadelphia School District will speak at the event. The art of murals is on display in the "Abbott" episode of Season 2, focusing on art education.
"I'm so happy to receive the keys to my hometown of Philadelphia," Brunson said in a statement. "This city has shaped me - now I'm going to give back to the mural and celebrate everything it has given me. I'm really honored."
The mural art and the Greater Philadelphia Film Office are behind the honor, which was also co-produced by the office of city representatives and special events, led by city representative Jazelle Jones.
