President Trump in the past Presidential Center In Chicago, when meeting with New Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney on Tuesday in Chicago, he called it a “disaster” and accused the “waking up” of construction workers.

most Oval Office Meeting Focusing on tariffs and relationships between Canada and the United States, Carney stressed that Canada would “not be sold” and “never sold”, while Mr. Trump called the border between the United States and Canada “artificial” and once again raised Canada’s idea of joining the United States

But in part of the meeting, the president dug up about the Obama Presidential Library, which was built in Jackson Park, Chicago. He laughed at the project in his comments and accused the “dei” and “wake” of being “disaster.”

"I mean, President Obama - if he wants to help, I'll give him help because I'll be on time and on budget, he's building his presidential library in Chicago. It's a disaster," Trump said. "He's saying it's for the effect, 'I just want dei, I just want to wake up.' He wants people who wake up to wake up, he wakes up, their costs are overspending, I don't know it's a disaster."

Work continues to close the exterior of the building and install glass and granite finishes as well as internal windows on the museum level, according to an update published on the Obama Foundation’s website. The foundation said insulation has also been installed in several other buildings in the complex.

But Mr. Trump claims that the center is “millions of dollars like many people — I mean, actually, over millions of dollars over budget,” the problem is because of Pres. Obama "want to be very politically right, he didn't use the good, tough, tough, mean construction workers I love."

"He hopes people have never done it before, and there is a disaster in his hands," he said.

A spokesman for the Obama Foundation said the president’s remarks were not actually based, and said he thought he mentioned “a relatively widespread controversy between the two subcontractors about the work that has been completed.”

"Everyone who sees the Obama Presidential Center is shocked by its beauty, scale, and the way it becomes Chicago's economic engine," the foundation said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming all visitors to the 19.3-acre campus next spring to experience a presidential center that will not only respect Obama's legacy, but also cancel the next generation of leaders."

The center’s website touted them to use union labor to build the center, which is privately funded and does not use taxpayer dollars. Throughout the Chicago winter, construction has been underway and the Foundation continues to expect the Obama Presidential Center to be open to the public in 2026.

The Obama Presidential Center is a large complex on the south side of the city, which includes fruit and vegetable gardens, sports and event facilities, a museum, an auditorium, branches of the Chicago Public Library, and more.
