The NFL schedule will be officially released on Wednesday, May 14. Los Angeles already knows it will debut in a Brazilian game in Sao Paulo in Week 1 to open Jim Harbaugh’s second season as head coach, but it should be placed in many other Prictimetime games due to the upgraded roster.
This is the game most likely to be on the Primetime calendar.
Charger and Chief
Front desk sports reported Saturday that Los Angeles could “host” Kansas City in Week 1, removing one of their major divisional matchups from Sofi Stadium and Sao Paulo. The Chiefs have won Super Bowl losses and enjoyed high-profile games over the past few years, so the NFL wants to put them in the spotlight of international attention in a controversial game.
Chargers and the Hawks
Whenever the playoff team hosts the defending Super Bowl championship, the game is likely to be in prime time. The Los Angeles mentality is similar to that of Philadelphia, which has built a winning football team through the tides – their game this season will go a long way to prove that Harbaugh’s team is about to achieve that vision.
Raider's Charger
Harbaugh's long-time rival Pete Carroll became the coach of the charger's biggest competitor, setting up a simple storyline for any prime time network that might want it. Week 2 Monday night football may meaningfully bring a long week to the charger in order to recover from their overseas trips. With her young first-round talent, Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers teamed up with quarterback Geno Smith, Las Vegas could offer prime-time audiences a high-flying offense.
Denim charger
Dallas will get the share of the prime time game and should theoretically rebound, recently joining a wide range of receivers on George Pickens and returning to quarterback Dak Prescott due to injury. As an early showdown that would make the Cowboys their spotlight while highlighting the potential rise of the charger, the game feels like a sneaky contender.
Charger in /vs Broncos
Whether it's a Sofi showdown or a Mile High game, both the Chargers-Broncos game is ready to be a major showdown for the AFC playoff seeding later this year, just like last season. Denver was the surprise playoff team for last season's rookie quarterback Bo Nix, but their lockdown defense will allow them to have conversations for the foreseeable future. With the calendar to December, the game will become increasingly important if both teams hit the ceiling.
