Kathryn Susanne Corley is known as "Kit Kat" by family and friends. Born in Carbondale, her family later moved to Chatham, where Kit attended Little Flower preschool, kindergarten at Glenwood Elementary and first grade at Chatham Elementary.
"The old soul known for her sincere empathy and kindness, has a special gift to connect with people of all ages," Kit's Obit reads. "She is as comfortable chatting with grandma and other adults as she talks with her cousin to friends at school - always listening attentively, answering frequently, and commenting to exceed her youthful maturity."

Kit's Obit also described her as a "stupid ball" and he would "please everyone's attention so she can perform stupid dances or show off her signature funny face." Obit said she is also a big fan of Taylor Swift.
Alma Lee Buhnerkempe was born in Springfield. As a second grader at Chatham Elementary School, she walked on the bus with her brother Will every morning and sat in front with him. Obit said that when she left school, she also always had a hug and "love you" for mom, dad, dad and grandpa.
Obit reads that Kit Kat Corley is Alma's best friend and they are always happy to learn to compete together.
Alma also volunteers for the Flash Program and runs the Red Light Green Light Game, an adaptive exercise program for children with disabilities that her brother will belong to. She also loves spending time with her family.
"We are always subject to improvisation and laughter at family gatherings, big and big," her family wrote.
Alma also enjoys playing football and basketball with the Queen Bees and will start senior team gymnastics this summer at the Springfield Gymnastics Center. She is a fan of Illini Basketball, La Galaxy and Stl City Football and has served as a viewer on Games with popcorn and ice cream.
Her family wrote that she also likes to draw and let her father paint and is diversified and wasted in many ways.
"Miss Alma will host classes for mom, dad and anyone else sitting on the floor to complete the quiz. She also plays the piano and loves dancing while trying to make YouTube videos," her family wrote. "She combines with the Girl Scouts raising a strong sense of community."
Alma has visited 17 states in her 7 years. Her family wrote that her favorite was Walt Disney World, who rode all day.
The funeral will be on Friday for Ainsley Grace Johnson, who was also born in Springfield.
Ainsley is in second grade in Glenwood Elementary School. She plays football in the SASA Football League and she dances at the Studio M Dance Center.
Ainsley would “sing any song she heard often” and would take her father’s airpods while mowing the grass so she could listen to the music he liked, her obit reading.
Ainsley also loves art, make-up, swimming, boating and spending time on the lake – she always looks forward to family vacations.
Born in Springfield and attending Glenwood High School in Chatham, Rylee Denae Britton reads her “a passion for English and education bright”. She plans to go to the University of Iowa to go to college.
Rylee worked at YNOT Outdoors after school bootcamp and previously worked at DSW designer Shoe Warehouse, Express Personnel Services and YMCA. Her obit read that she was also a student intern at Chatham Elementary School.
Rylee played football and SAWM in high school and joined as a young girl on the GSA shooter football team. She also performed in stage work at the Hogland Arts and Theatre Center in Springfield Park.
"Riley's courage is as compelling as her kind attitude. She faces every challenge with a brave smile, inspiring those around her. Her infectiousness and warmth touches everyone she meets, leaving forever her friends, family and everyone who knows her."
She is described as two precious sisters and also a girlfriend who admires Moffett.
