Scott McLaughlin had a chance to be in a row with Scott Dixon trying to equalize Rick Mears's game record with a sixth start. Drivers on all three Penske teams were at Fast 12, while Chip Ganassi Racing and Arrow McLaren were at Fast 12, respectively.
