In the first round of the race held on May 18, runoff competition was fierce, with Trzaskowski winning over 31%, while Nawrocki winning nearly 30%, eliminating the other 11 candidates.

The winner will replace Andrzej Duda, the current nationalist Conservative President, who also received support from PIS and accused him of vetoing Prime Minister Donald Tusk's centrist government to uphold judicial reform.

The movement highlights the gap in Stark's ideology, and the results are expected to determine whether Poland continues along the nationalist path or whether it is more decisive to pick on liberal democratic norms.

Trzaskowski, the 53-year-old son of a well-known jazz musician, has promised to restore judicial independence, alleviate abortion restrictions and build constructive ties with European partners.

Nawrocki, a 42-year-old former boxer who is favored by U.S. President Donald Trump, positioning himself as a defender of traditional Polish values and expressing doubts about the EU.

There is growing concern about Russia’s war on Ukraine in security, with both candidates supporting aid to Kiev, although Navoroki opposes members of NATO’s neighbouring Ukraine, while Trzaskowski supports that.

Both candidates have adopted similar hard-working approaches to immigration, both taking anti-Ukrainian rhetoric and based on growing resentment among the Poles who see themselves competing for tense social services with 1.55 million Ukrainian war refugees and immigrants.

Although Trzaskowski proposed that working Ukrainians should be able to get child benefits in the country, Nawrocki went further, saying he would also oppose Ukraine's entry into NATO and even the EU.

The poll is expected to end at 9 p.m. GMT (19:00 GMT). The final result may be announced on Monday.
