PLL 2025 season forecast: champion, MVP, Rookie of the Year
May 30, 2025, 07:30 AM

The 2025 Prime Minister Hockey League season begins this weekend, with two games on Friday and two more on Saturday.

But, we're not just opening games: Who are the top teams in the East and West? Who will win the championship? Which players will win Rookie of the Year and Rookie?

Paul Carcaterra and Quint Kessenich stayed with their pre-season draft pick:

Who will become the top team in the East?

Gloucester: Boston Cannon. Since taking over in 2023, Boston has made an impressive run under head coach Brian Holman. I hope this offense explodes, a combination of right-handed Marcus Holman, a distributor of distributors, with a point guard mentality in Asher nolting and a left-handed nolthing sniper in rookie Coulter Coulter Mackesy. This attack line has it all.

Kesenic: I like New York Map Album Because their explosive offense was led by Jeff Teat. It felt like they reached their peak too early last summer and lost in the semifinals. I hope they can better judge the finish line for 2025 - and have authority.

Which team is the best in the West?

Gloucester: this Utah Archer It is the reason for defending the champion twice. 2023 League MVP Tom Schreiber returns to the roster after being injured at the end of the last regular season. With Schreiber Healthy, this team will only get better offensively because he has the ability to create his own shots and pass the elite level on incredible goal-scorers like Mac O'Keefe and Connor Fields.

Kesenic: I think Archer Continue to be the main franchise. I'll give them the edge over Denver lawbreakers, and I think that will be greatly improved. Schreiber is back healthy. Fields are a showdown issue and coach Chris Bates is a reliable asset off the field.

Who won all the victories in the playoffs?

Gloucester: Utah Archer. The offense may make headlines, but at the end of the day it's an underrated defense with a shocking goalkeeper in Brett Dobson. He performed best in the playoffs when the lights were brightest.

Kesenic: In futures betting, I will support a small map atlas on Denver, and I will see the amazing Utah state.

Who won the Jim Brown MVP Award?

Gloucester: Michael Sauls. No one in the league has agility and the ability to have a showdown like a sow. His numbers have been impressive over the past few years, but Philadelphia struggled last year and lost many close games. This year, I hope the Sauls will be different and tear them apart with his dodging ability through defense.

Kesenic: I hope Brennan O'Neill In his second professional season, Denver was unstoppable to Denver. He worked at Duke in the spring and helped their goalkeepers. Outlaws adds Logan Wisnauskas, which may be great for O'Neill. A big storyline for the summer is the 2nd grade player, the best rookie class in league history in 2024. Who can take the next step? I think O'Neal has a quantum leap.

Which player will be the Rookie of the Year?

Gloucester: coulter mackerel. The first-year professional from Princeton was selected by a cannon team that desperately needed left-handed goalkeepers. He is the leading goalkeeper in history in Princeton hockey history and has multiple release points and incredible accuracy with left-handed shots. The pass from Asher nolting will provide many opportunities for the scoreboard this season.

Kesenic: There are questions about the early supply of CJ Kirst water dogs, I'll take the Utah guard Brendan Lavelle Received Roy honors on Kirst and Mackesy. Mackesy is perfect for Boston's left side, flanked by Marcus Holman and dealer Asher Nolting, but Lavelle is a plug-in player, he's strong, tough, smart and ready. If the offensive rookie in 2025 is hard to produce, then Laville will be that guy.
