Katy Perry wants her Katycats to know she’s fine, even if she faces online hatred. On Tuesday, the pop star left a lengthy comment on her fan page, reflecting how she handled digital attacks and thanked those who supported her in the process.
"I thank you so much. We have a beautiful and wild journey together," Perry wrote in an Instagram comment. "I can continue to be true to myself, honest and honest, especially because of our connection."
She later continued, "Please know I'm fine, I've done a lot of work to know who I am, what's real, what's important to me. A few years ago, my therapist said something about the game-changer, 'No one can make you believe in yourself that you don't believe in your own thing,' If I have any feelings about it, then it can investigate how it feels underneath. ”
Perry’s comments thanked were in response to a global fan project that congratulated the singer on launching her tour on a temporary billboard in Times Square. "Know you're safe, see and celebrate," fans wrote on the billboard, which seemed to hint at the backlash she received for her recent Blue Origin Space mission, as well as criticism surrounding her lifelong tour.
"When the 'online' world tries to make me a human piñata, I dedicate it to them with grace, because I know so many people are hurt in many ways, the internet makes a lot of sense, it's an irrelevant and unforged dump," Perry wrote. "The real thing is to see your face every night, sing in unison, read notes, and feel warm."
Every night of Perry's life so far, Perry personally selected fans from the crowd and invited them to perform a surprising song with her on stage and hugged them in the scene. In her notes, she reflects this connection during the show.
"I found people can lock their eyes and sing, and I know that when I do that, we are healing each other in a small way (no), I am not perfect, and I have actually omitted the word from my vocabulary," Perry wrote. "I played life games with many audiences on a journey of humanity, and sometimes I fell...I came back and continued playing games and somehow through my abuse and hurt adventures, I was always looking for light."
Perry's new message is because she intends to tour Mexico's lifelong date before starting her run American legs next week. She toured in Houston on May 7. A teenage dream Depth, “Pearl.”
