We can't wait to watch five games in the 2025 season
The NFL schedule for the 2025-2026 season has been released. Here are some of the games on our must-see list.
There is not much to do when running back Derrick Henry.
He is an all-pro and professional bowler many times. He won the NFL regular season championship twice, won the league's Offensive Player of the Year award in 2020, and led all active players on the professional front. But one of the major achievements to avoid Henry is a Super Bowl.
Same as the resume of two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, this is the same omission.
The two immediately formed one of the NFL's top duos in Henry's first season in Baltimore, which required two years to extend for the two-year period he signed in on Monday. But Henry and Jackson's brilliant years led the Ravens to unceremoniously end the game in Buffalo in the division.
“I really liked last season,” Henry told reporters after signing a two-year extension. I've been in Tennessee for eight years and then I'm able to play alongside players like Lamar. It's full of energy and lots of fun. There are a lot of young people on the offense and on the team, so I feel they gave me my youth and gave me a lot of energy. Last year, I was very happy to win the season. Guys should be motivated.
The Crow is making some gambling on Henry. His two-year extension is worth $30 million. This is the largest contract for running over 30 years old. Henry turned 31 in January and is now signed for the 2027 season.
This goes against the traditional NFL view of signing a contract north of 30 years old. However, Henry showed no sign of slipping.
The downhill defender accumulated 1,921 yards and tied for the NFL-High with 16 rushing touchdowns in his first year with the Ravens. His rushing production is the second largest Ravens running in a single season, and the second largest in the NFL last year. Henry and Jackson led the Ravens to the NFL's No. rush offense, averaged over 187 yards per game in 2024.
"I think he fits us as an organization. I think he fits Baltimore as a city and the city's representative. When you watch him play and watch the Ravens play, when you always watch the Ravens play, when you always dominate the Ravens, when you always dominate the Ravens, when you watch Derrick run, it's ruler, when you dominate our city, Tagat told reporters. "He's just fit everything for us." ”
Tagat didn't care about Henry's age either.
"Just looking at him, you can't see the downside," said the RB coach. "If you ask me, he's still getting stronger."
Recent evidence suggests that Tagat is correct. Last season, Henry's 1,921 rushing yards was the most players over the age of 30 in NFL history. In addition, in Baltimore's playoff game, he averaged a playoff highest 135 yards per game.
However, it will eventually be decided that Baltimore will make the right decision by re-signing Henry, which is the team's future playoff success, especially after a disappointing playoff defeat against Bill.
"I don't think you'll ever get over it. I think you're just dealing with it because that's exactly what it is. When you get the chance again, try to make it achieve different results, especially in my role, the way I play," Henry reviewed the loss. “I think everyone on this team feels the same.”
Henry's professional playoff record is 4-5. He became the AFC champion for the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, Jackson scored 3-5 in his playoff career.
Henry's annual contract value makes him the fourth largest salary in the NFL. Jackson signed the highest player in football in 2023. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh publicly stated that this offseason, the quarterback will once again become the NFL's top racing player when he sells his pen to paper.
"The value is the highest. When Lamar gets paid, he will be the highest paid player in football, just like he did last time," Harbo told reporters at the NFL League meeting in March.
The Ravens have invested a lot of money in their two main offensive pieces. Now, they both have to assist each other to achieve what they have already had a great career lacking.
"Derick worked hard. It's important to him," Tagat said. "He wants to win a Super Bowl. I know he's going to do everything he can to help this football team achieve that."
