Pittsburgh police see fans falling from Pirate Bar game as "nature accidental"

Public Safety in Pittsburgh provides latest news about people who fall 20 feet on the Clement wall in PNC Park On Wednesday night.

According to public safety, they now see the incident as accidental. They also do not want to provide any other updates to the public.

The man was identified as Kavan Markwood and remains in critical condition at the hospital.

Pirates game stops after fans fall on the outfield wall

A man fell from the right-field stand to the warning track after the RBI doubles Wednesday night after the Pirates designated batsman Andrew McCutchen.

Trainers from both clubs, police and EMS responded immediately to lean towards him and his injuries.

A moment later, another fan jumped from the lower part of the outfield to help the fallen man.

Eventually, the man was placed on a stretcher and pushed out of the field. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The game was delayed by about 10 minutes before the game resumed.

Pirates' response, team problem statement

On Thursday morning, Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting made a statement.

"We were all deeply saddened and heartbroken after the horrible accident last night. It was one of the most difficult moments many of us have ever had. We suffered a disaster. We were frustrated. Pirate Baseball is a community and our fans are like family. In times like this, we have to support each other and hope that he and his prayers support each other. We also long to be reacted. Care for."

After the game ended, the player and the manager issued a statement.

After the game, McCutchen posted to social media platform X "It's really annoying what happened tonight." "Cant (Sic) helps, but think about that guy, his family and friends. I pray for him tonight. Remind us of his loved ones and embrace our family tonight."

Shortly thereafter, the team issued a statement saying: “Pittsburgh EMS and the Pirates and Bears sports training team, other PNC Park personnel responded immediately and responded and received care.

"It's very unfortunate," Pirates manager Derek Shelton told reporters after the game. "It's an understatement."

Baseball fans react after horror fall

Fans outside PNC Park said Thursday that the fall reminded them to pay more attention during the game.

"Always be aware of the surroundings," said Fan Edward Vincent.

"Baseball games are sometimes dangerous for them," said Matt Ack.
