After the Los Angeles fire, the Governor’s Award was awarded to the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Air Force Operations Department and recognized its “heroic efforts” in including wildfires. The celebration begins on Friday, with a reception for winners and nominees free of charge through Foggifm’s donation to all SOC members. SOC's second annual art exhibition, Capture Spirit: Euphoric Moments on Screen, was also supported by Fuji, and was exhibited during receptions and awards evenings.
During the ceremony, Jesse Berry of the Center for Vision at Los Angeles Children's Hospital recognized SOC's ongoing support for the hospital, including the production of fundraising videos, which helped drive contributions to pediatric visual care.
