Pete Rose and his family repeatedly tried to get the MLB's historical hit to the Chinese King back to baseball without success.
On Tuesday, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that anyone on the roster of baseball's failure will be removed at the time of death.
This means Rose bans the baseball ban, qualifying him for the Hall of Fame considerations.

The announcement comes 24 hours before the Cincinnati Reds in Ross hosted Pete Rose Night, a celebration that had been held for the legend who died in September.
Rose's family and other members of the Red Army greats participated in the pre-match ceremony, and Rose's daughter Fawn shared her reaction to the news.
"The news came down yesterday, we boarded a plane in Seattle and I answered the call around 10:15. I got a call from a lawyer. ... I wanted to be the one standing on this podium and announced that the ban has been lifted, but I'm happy to celebrate again tonight.
Fawn Rose then praised the commissioner's discussion of his father, when the family met Manfred shortly after Pete Rose's death.
"The emotions are incredible. I called (Little Pete). My kids thought someone died because I was excited at the airport, but that was important. The commissioner was very grateful when meeting with the commissioner."

When Rose voted, it wasn't formal, but it might depend on the classic Baseball Era committee, which considered it to be the end of his career 15 years ago. The committee did not meet until December 2027 and he needed 12 of 16 votes to enter.
