Persol debuts sunglasses lines specifically target Steve McQueen

Persol returned to JW Marriott's Albane's Cannes Film Festival perch in La Terrasse - for good reason.

Hot Italian glasses brand will launch Persol 714 Steve McQueen, a product line specifically targeting legendary Hollywood stars, aiming to seamlessly blend “elegance and functionality” according to the brand. The model has a folded pilot frame, which is handmade with acetate and comes with metal decor such as hexagonal rivets on the bridge, flexible Meflecto temples, enhanced comfort and recognizable Supreme Arrow, a Persol Signature.

The limited edition line also has some surprising touches: inside the Left Temple is a metal plaque dated 1968, a nod to the year. Thomas Crown Incident. McQueen plays the title role in a film directed by Norman Jewison, while on the same side as Faye Dunaway and Paul Burke. In the beloved film, McQueen wears the original 714 frames, which highlights the bond between the late star and one of the world's oldest glasses companies.

To commemorate an occasion like this, Persol offers a minimalist collector box that includes a selection of exclusive accessories: a foldable leather glasses case with matching bags – both with reliefs from Steve McQueen Logo – a premium paper bag with microfiber cloth for microfiber cloth and a wine-like rare archive to celebrate the model’s souvenirs to celebrate the model’s standards.

For McQueen and Persol Afficionados, the good news is: These glasses can prepare the red carpet for any palace premiere.
