Pennsylvania sports writers released their draft picks Sunday for the 2024-25 Pennsylvania All-State Boys Basketball Team. Yaiaa's five players have been recognized in their respective categories.
York Catholic Jake Dallas won a place on the second team in Class 2A. During his senior year, Dallas averaged 17 points per game while helping Ireland fight the second round of the 3rd Division champion and the state championship.
In the 4A Class, East York's Carter Wamsley won the second team. Walmsley ranked fifth in Yaiaa with 19.9 points per game and guided his team to the second round of the regional finals and Class 4A state games.
Brody Holmes from New Oxford was appointed third team in Class 5A. Sherlock Holmes averaged 21.3 points per game in his junior year, ranking second in Yaiaa.
Ben Natal and Ben Rill of Central York were appointed second and third teams in the 6A respectively. Natal scored 19.4 points per game while Rill scored 19.2 points per night, the two became the highest-scoring and highest-scoring players in program history while coaching the Panthers to a regional championship and appearing in the second round of the state game.
