Acclaimed Indian filmmaker Natesh Hegde, whose directors adventures “Pedro” (2021) and “Vaghachipani” (2025) have enhanced the presence of Kannada Language Cinema on global festival tours, is launching his industry footprint with Flielder Field Maker Fimemaker Ganeshhes Hegde.
The company’s first project is the mysterious crime drama Kurka directed by Ganesh Hegde, who has won the Karnataka State Best Maiden Award for “Neeli Hakki” (2021).
Natesh Hegde also starred in the movie. "Kurka" marks an important milestone in Hegde's career development from festival circuit director to multi-brained industry force. His "Vaghachipani" (Tiger's Pond) became history earlier this year, the first premiere to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival forum.
"Kurka" follows Munna, a rebellious son of a former soldier turning into a quarry worker, who is trapped in the local power dynamics while struggling to cope with personal losses. His pursuit of resolution led to the so-called "surreal transformation" because he went through the "test of truth."
Natesh Hegde said in reflection on the new production banners and their long-term collaboration: “Ganesh and I have known each other since the time of short films. I continued to direct 'Pedro', and he directed 'Neeli Hakki. For 'Vaghachipani', he came to help me as deputy director.
The work is a joint venture between Fox and Friends and Agho Films, established by businessman and philanthropist Dr. Revanna, who aims to “produce and support a new generation of storytellers.”

"Pedro" participated in the 2021 Busan International Film Festival's new current competition. Natesh Hegde is known primarily for his directorial achievements, but he has been gradually building a performance group and playing roles in "Rifle Club" (2024) and the upcoming Hindi film Anurag Kashyap.
"Kurka" cast also includes Avinash, Vijay Raghavendra and Anupama Gowda.
Ganesh Hegde serves as a dual role as director and photographer, while Natesh stepped in to edit. The creative team includes composers Charan Raj and Sound Designer Shreyank Nanjappa, an alumni of the Indian Academy of Film and Television whose previous works were screened in Berlinale and Cannes.
