Paula Abdul jokes with "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell

Paula Abdul's "American Idol" era is still with her.

The 62-year-old singer and choreographer is in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson from 2002 to 2009.

“As the only woman on the panel, I had to overcome the man on my left. Starting with ‘s’ and ending with ‘imon’, the left side of my brain was permanently damaged by the British accent,” Abdul often played with Cowell on stage, saying in dance and conversation, “The event on April 30.” But it was no big deal because at least I had Randy’s rights. ”

As for the performance of the latest “Idol” Judge Carrie Underwood, Abdul has nothing but positive feedback.

"The strength of Carrie is her humble beginnings in the show," she said. "She is an outstanding artist and as a contestant she continues to pursue her best career. She is back and she gives back. She does a great job."

When Underwood was a contestant for the 2005 "American Idol" season 4, Cowell shared bold predictions about the future of Oklahoma's Muskogee.

"Carley, you're not only going to beat the girl. You're the one who got beaten up," the aspiring country singer said after performing the rock band hit "One by yourself."

"I'm going to make a prediction. Not only will you win this show, but you'll also sell more records than any other idol winner before."
