Paradise made a game

As far as his goal and assistance abilities are concerned, claiming that Liverpool won the grand prize with Mohamed Salah is an obvious statement, but more than you might think.

The Egyptians have been playing in world-class competitions for eight seasons. You really don't have more to ask for him.

He won two Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, one Super Cup, and one Club World Cup, and will soon be four Golden Boots and along with three Organizer Awards.

His achievements in Merseyside so far are terrifying and he will still play at Liverpool for two more seasons to keep him at the club for a decade as the contract extends.

But, apart from how perfect he is for us in terms of his performance on the court, few people will find someone who represents Liverpool who truly understands the privilege of playing for the Reds. In a recent interview, Salah said how close he played with the club.

The love between Liverpool and Salah

Speaking to L'Equipe, he said: "I am proud to (win the league) because Liverpool is very similar to me.

“Liverpool is known for launching an incredible comeback, bypassing seemingly desperate situations and giving everything all the time. In that sense, I think there are similarities in my career path because I never give up and I devote everything to football.

"…There is no prerequisite to be a little guy. So it's a great feeling to have fans reward my job for the past eight years. I honestly didn't think about it all the time, but I don't take it for granted either, because it's really valuable."

It feels special for an unfamiliar player to feel about the club and knowing that Salah is fully aware of how much he is loved may be a key reason why he decided to continue living with us.

It takes time to build a relationship with your fans. There is no guarantee that managing it is a very difficult balance. Trent Alexander-Arnold's decision to leave was even more confused.

Although there are more in Salah's contract decision. He fell in love with the club.

He added: "(At Anfield) I actually like a place that is in the right side, which we usually play in the first half, not facing the KOP. I don't know why, maybe it's because for the last eight years I've been starting on that side, just before the kickoff, I have time to see the same face.

"I don't know if this is superstitious, but I like to see familiar faces. In fact, few people miss two games and I ask our team manager to check why they aren't there if everything is good. These faces I know make me feel more at home, with a warm, vibrating, hard to describe."

These details and more he discussed in the interview give you a slight glimpse on why Salah is an unmatched player with the Reds.

He was at home, playing in a country thousands of miles from Egypt, where his native language and culture were completely different from anything he had experienced before.

However, in the football sense, he found his perfect game. The meaning of his worship of Liverpool will take time to digest. We may not fully understand the special thing about seeing Salah play for the club, but for the time being, we only need to make the most of the next two years and continue to praise one of our great men of all time.
