Paige Bueckers was almost the basketball star of her life. From her early days in Edina, Minnesota, to her outstanding high school career at Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, she has been the focus of attention.
Her journey took her to play under Geno Auriemma in UConn, where she became one of the top players in the country. Now, she begins her career from the Dallas Wing. The 6-foot point guard, 23, has a promising future in the WNBA.
Despite her growing reputation, Booker still takes root. She made the night even more memorable after her debut at the University Park Center in Arlington, Texas. According to Dallas area basketball journalist Landon Thomas, the Bueckers stayed for a long time after the game, signed and connected with supporters.
"Paige Bueckers stayed to sign for all fans after the game," Thomas said.

In her first home game, the Bueckers played 22 minutes and scored 15 points. She is one of the seven wingers who scored in double figures. Arike Ogunbowale leads the team with 17 points. Dallas smoked Toyota Antelope 119-52.
One of the highlights of the game was when Bueckers passed an incredible pass to Ogunbowale and showed off her elite stadium vision and chemistry with new teammates.
There is no doubt that entering the 2025 WNBA Draft involves who will be the best choice. The Bueckers cemented that position with the UConn-led season, which was the capped by leading the Eskimo Dogs to the 2025 NCAA title.
In her final college season, she received several prestigious awards, including the Honda Sports Awards, the Wade Trophy and the Nancy Lieberman Award. She was also appointed All-American.
With the preseason ending, Dallas’ wings are ready to start the 2025 regular season. They will stay home on May 16 against the Minnesota Mountains, while the Seattle storm will be on May 19.
