A franchise legend seems to support it after John Mellencamp slams Pat McAfee for giving a clear hype speech to Indiana Pacers fans.

McAfee attracts Pacers fans in the final minutes of Game 4 Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday, but it made Mellencamp "awkward".

The former Indianapolis Colts bettor called up celebrity Knicks fans Timothée Chalamet, Spike Lee and Ben Stiller and told Pacers fans to "turn this s --- up" and "give these sons to New York sons whose ears rang out in New York."

Mellencamp mentioned that "someone" used "bad sportsmanship". He didn't mention McAfee's name specifically, but it wasn't a secret, McAfee replied on X, "I'm alone."

Before Thursday’s summoning Match 5, Pacers legend Reggie Miller released a videotape montage where he greeted Mellencamp, which included Mellencamp’s hit song “Jack & Diane.”

The Pacers won Game 4 after McAfee got the microphone to lead the 3-1, but the series returned to Indiana after the Knicks wiped the floor with the Pacers in Game 5.
