Omar Marmouche: Manchester City agree to sign striker from Eintracht Frankfurt | Football News

Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign striker Omar Marmouche.

Malmouche, who can play a role in the front three, has scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season, just one behind Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane Who topped the list with 16.

The Egypt international agreed in principle a move to Manchester City last week, pending an agreement between the two clubs.

Negotiations between the clubs have since intensified, with Frankfurt demanding around £67.5m (€80m) to sell their prized asset.

Manchester City's outgoing sporting director Tesiki Begiristain opened new talks with Eintracht Frankfurt on Monday, with the two clubs getting very close to agreeing on a price for Malmouche.

City's offer on Wednesday is believed to be slightly lower than Frankfurt's initial demand, with a fixed price of £59 million (€70 million) plus add-ons of £4.2 million to £8.4 million (€5 million to €10 million).

Begiristain now appears to have achieved a breakthrough - with City now set to bolster their attacking options after looking to invigorate their defense by striking a deal. palm tree prospect Victor Reis and Lance Abdulkodir Kusanov.
