Patty Gasso's second-seed Sooners will face Tennessee No. 7 seed in the WCWS opener. Oklahoma won the Norman Super Region on Saturday by defeating Alabama.
The action in the double elimination stand of eight teams began Thursday at Devon Park. Starting June 4, the last two teams will play in three best series.
Gasso, who will coach the United States at the 2028 Summer Olympics, led the Sooners to eight national titles, including six of the past eight and 10. This is the first season at the Southeast Oklahoma Conference.

Oklahoma will face Tennessee star pitcher Karlyn Pickens, who broke her NCAA record at 79.4 mph in a win over Nebraska on Saturday. Pickens then turned away 1-0 on Sunday.
Nebraska’s losses mean Oklahoma won’t face formerly quick pitcher Jordy Bahl, who was appointed to transfer to her homeland with Oklahoma’s most prominent player in the 2023 World Series.
Although Texas A&M overall seeds were eliminated in regional games, the SEC has five teams in the field - Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Texas and Ole Miss.
Florida beat Georgia in three games. The Gators won national championships in 2014 and 2015 and lost to Oklahoma in the semifinals last year.
Texas has reached three best championship series in two seasons in the past three seasons, losing to Oklahoma. The Longhorns were also the first season of the SEC.
Texas Tech and Ole Miss are the first qualifiers.
Texas Tech beat Florida in the super area. Last year's U.S. softball college student of the year pitcher Nijaree Canada led Stanford to the national semifinals for two consecutive years. She led the Red Raiders to their first Big 12 regular season and championship title.
Ole Miss is the only seedless team left. The Rebels defeated Arizona twice, won the Tucson area and defeated Arkansas in the Super Area.
UCLA and Oregon (UCLA) will meet in a previous PAC-12 team game and move to the Big Ten this year.
Oregon Top 10 regular season champions Oregon beat Upstart Liberty to advance. Freedom shocked the Texas A&M in the regional competition, but couldn't get past the Duck.
UCLA won the final game against South Carolina in Game 2 and then won Game 3. The Bruins can add to their record 12 World Series titles.
