Patrick Mahomes visited Oklahoma City this week to show love to Texas Tech softball.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback joined his wife Brittany Mahomes in Game 2 of the Texas Women’s University World Series Championship Finals at the Red Raiders and Devon Park.

"First of all, I love Texas Tech, and everything will reach the Texas Tech. It's fun to have Nija (Nijaree Canada) watch with the other girls here," Mahomes told ESPN's Holly Rowe on the TV. "I've always loved softball and watched it. I'm so happy to be back in the Olympics and I'm so happy to have them in Oklahoma City."

The three-time Super Bowl champion also details Texas Tech ace Nijaree Canady, a big reason why Red Raiders were able to win the WCW for the first time in program history with Lubbock Gerry Glasco ERA.

"It's special. The way she's able to control softball and the way she's able to be in the strike zone, I mean it's special." "And being able to see it firsthand throughout the season, you know why we're in our place. It started with her and her leadership."

Canada entered the second game of the WCW with a 33-6 overall record and a season-best 0.94 ERA. Stanford’s transfer signed a $105,000 zero deal with the Red Raiders during the offseason, a process that is believed to have played a role.

In August, Mahomes signed with his Adidas “Mahomes” NIL team to Canada and five other Texas technical student-athletes, a zero partnership that allows all six student-athletes to participate in brand marketing activities, including Mahomes’ signature shoes and clothing collection with Adidas.

Mahomes finished with 11,252 professional passes and 93 professional touchdowns in three seasons at Texas Tech in 2014-2016. He will be ranked 10th in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Chiefs. Prior to the first game of WCW, Mahomes sent college letter jackets and adidas shoes to each member of the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech hopes to extend the three best WCWS championship series against Texas by winning the "necessary" game "if necessary" on Thursday, June 6.
