DEM lawmakers defend "storm into" ice facilities, saying Trump administrators are "all levels"

U.S. Rep. Rob Menendez Jr., Bonnie Watson Coleman and Lamonica McIver (all New Jersey Democrats) attacked the gates of Ice's Delaney Hall detention center in Newark on Friday, asking them to conduct "supervised visits."

"These members of Congress break into detention centers, beyond weird political stunts, putting the safety of our law enforcement officers and detainees at risk," DHS said. "The members of Congress are not above the law and cannot break into detention centers illegally. If these members request travel, we will promote travel to the facility."

The Department of Homeland Security said the three MPs were outside the door when the door opened to allow ice buses to enter.

"What do they want to do?" Nom asked. "Release these guys back in the country so that there might be more Laken Rileys? So there could be more Jocelyn Nungarays? I just don't understand what they mean. They're totally losing their minds."

DHS says "arrest is still on the table" after Dems in New Jersey grabbed the camera and "strike" the ice rink,

She called for condemnation of the three and was formally rebuked by the House of Representatives.

“It surprised me that when someone even votes for someone to put them in leadership, they keep some people going on something as hypocritical and criminal as these people,” she said.

"I hope the rest of the House will hold them accountable," Norm continued. "They should not be allowed to join the committee they are ongoing - in fact, one of them (Mcway) should be supervising the ice, but she is beating them."

"They shouldn't be in the house," Norm added. "They should be condemned by it."

In an earlier press conference, Coleman denied allegations of their attempt to illegally enter the facility and claimed the ice was “out of control.” McPver said the three councillors had been waiting for more than two hours to enter the facility for supervised visits. She said all three were also attacked by ice.

"Some people should be police officers and should protect us, and they are not doing anything," McPhew told reporters. "If they can treat three members of Congress like this, imagine how they treat people on the streets every day, neither without documents, and a citizen of the country."
