NHL releases Eastern Conference Finals in Maple Leaf - Tablet Game 7 Updated

The Carolina Hurricanes entered the Eastern Conference finals, eliminating the Washington Capitals in five games and earning their second final four games in the last three seasons.

Now, the Hurricanes wait for the result of Game 7 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Florida Panthers to find out who their opponent is.

Toronto will host seven games at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday at 7:30 pm ET. In Game 7, Maple Leaf was 12-15 all time. Meanwhile, Florida entered Sunday with a 3-1 record, including 2-0 on the road.

The NHL announced the date and time of the two finals almost at midnight on Saturday.

In the Eastern Conference, the Hurricanes will host the first game of the final when they defeat Toronto in Game 7.

The Hurricanes lost the regular season series against the Maple Leafs and Panthers, making the same 1-2-0 record.

That said, Carolina is able to beat Florida on the way. The Hurricanes can only beat Toronto when playing home games in Carolina.

Regardless of the final game, the Eastern Conference Final will begin Tuesday, May 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
