Kobe spent much of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys and expressed frustration with the ads.

Kobe's social media post sparked a debate, and he defended himself.

He added: "This is a homosexual in the NFL. But forcing people to be in people's faces...especially kids... can send the wrong message... Football is a real community, like a gay community. Imagine telling gays that they have to advocate for heterosexuals...they may have problems."

On Sunday, several NFL teams launched the news about Pride Month on social media.
