College players who were previously in the transfer portal have a significant impact on the 2025 NFL Draft. Check out some famous stats about choosing to transfer players and their path into the NFL draft.

Last year, Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels were selected as No. 1 and No. 2 by Chicago and Washington. This year, Cam Ward and Travis Hunter are the first two draft picks, making the first two choices a player who has transferred at least once in his college career.

Williams moved from Oklahoma to USC and Daniels transferred from Arizona State to LSU.
Ward was selected by the Tennessee Titans and his career began his incarnation before moving to Washington State and then to Miami. Everyone remembers that Hunter shocked the world by turning from Florida to Jackson in his 2022 class. He went to Colorado from there and over the past season he ended up winning the Heisman Trophy.

There were 13 quarterbacks in the NFL draft last week, including 11 selected people, including first-round draft picks Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart, who have turned at least once in their college careers.

The only two draft quarterbacks, who had not transferred during their college years, was Jalen Milroe of Alabama, Cam Miller From North Dakota. Milroe was the fourth quarterback in the fourth round and headed to Seattle in the third round. He signed with Alabama in the 2021 class, becoming the top 100 prospect and has started the crimson trend over the past two seasons.
Miller was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the sixth round, and he signed with North Dakota in the 2020 recruiting class. He won two FCS national championships and ended his career with North Dakota record total offensive yards, completion rates, completions and pass yards.

Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Walter Nolen, Derrick Harmon, Matthew Golden, Jaxson Dart and Josh Simmons were seven players selected in the first round of the draft, who had turned at least once in their college careers.
Before the end of the third round, there are 24 selections. This is equivalent to more than 30% of the first three rounds of the NFL draft.

More and more college football players are moving to four programs, many of whom are able to develop into high drafts. In the first three rounds of the draft, 13 players started their careers outside of four conferences.

Cam Ward (Incarnation), Travis Hunter (Jackson State) and Josh Simmons (San Diego State) are all first-round draft picks, although they didn’t start their careers at a large football school.
The second round was characterized by former Kentucky receiver Jayden Higgins completing his college career at Iowa State, with Miss Ole receiver Tre Harris first suiting Louisiana Tech and defensive back Trey Amos, who started his career in Louisiana before moving to Alabama.
In the third round, seven players started their careers in four non-power programs. Washington State receiver Kyle Williams (UNLV), Arkansas receiver Isaac TeSlaa (Hillsdale), Cal defensive back Nohl Williams (UNLV), Tulane defensive back Caleb Ransaw (Troy), Michigan edge defender Josaiah Stewart (Coastal Carolina), Western Kentucky defensive back Upton Stout (North Texas) and Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who started his career at UCF when the Cavaliers were still playing in the AAC.

Speaking of Gabriel, former Oregon, Oklahoma, UCLA and UCF quarterbacks are one of five players in the first three rounders of the draft, who have moved several times in their college careers.
Of course, first-place pick Cam Ward started his career in avatar twice before leaving his college career, then moved to Washington State and then to Miami. Former Louisville quarterback Tyler Shoough was drafted by New Orleans in the second round, starting his career at Oregon before moving to Texas Tech and then to Louisville.
Also in the second round, Cincinnati selected defender Demetrius Knight, who signed with Georgia Tech in the 2019 class before moving to Charlotte before completing his career at South Carolina. Trey Amos was drafted by Washington in the second round, playing for Louisiana for the first time before he moved to Alabama, then Ole Miss.

In the first three rounds of the NFL draft, there were 19 offensive wingers, only one of whom moved after starting a career in FBS schools. Ohio State's Josh Simmons made the first round pick for the Kansas City Chiefs. Simmons signed with San Diego State in his 2021 recruiting class and redshirted in his first year with the AZTECS. He started every game in his second season and then moved to Ohio State before the 2023 season began.
