There is no NFL draft prospect like Texas receiver Matthew Golden.

Last week, the Texas Longhorns product was one of the products in the green room behind the stage of the Rambo Stadium, waiting patiently to hear his next team call his name. Golden waited for a long time, but since 2002, the host team has done something they have never done before.

Draft an extensive receiver.

Packers president Mark Murphy announced that Golden was the first wide receiver to be taken by the team in more than fifty years, and his reception was not real about him wearing the Packers hat and jersey.

"It's still not true to me, and it's crazy," he said to the Fox News numbers. "Like I said, I've been waiting to call my name since I was six, and how it happened in Green Bay because it's the first recipient since 2002, which means a lot to me.

"There is a lot of history behind it, and the way it happened, I feel like God did it for a reason. It's something that always sticks to me."

Golden lets Packers fans chant with him before stepping out of the stage, because the love for their new hiding place is definitely on display.

However, due to history, the Packers fans also have a lot of expectations for him. If the pressure to be a first-round player is insufficient, come to a team that desperately needs their next highest receiver.

However, Kim didn't seem to feel the pressure.

"There is absolutely no pressure, but definitely knowing that I have to come in, I have to play, I have to contribute to this team," he explained. "That's what I get inside, that's my mindset. I have something to prove, I come in and help us win. What teams need me to do, and that's what I'm going to do here."

It's Green Bay's crowded reception room, which includes Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, among others. All of them call their names one way or another in 2024, but none of them serve as true top receivers for Jordan Love.

It's not always a bad thing, but Packers fans hope their Davante Adams-, Jordy Nelson-, Donald Driver-style receivers can outperform the rest of the receivers. That's gold and remains to be seen, but the first round pick carries that weight.

Golden said he had spoken with Watson and Reed and it wasn't exciting to leave his mark on the packer - anyway.

"They told me they were so happy to bring me here, and it's time to go to work," Golden said of the conversation with Watson and Reed. "So, it would be amazing just to play with someone like this. A lot of weapons, so I'm ready to contribute to the game with them and keep having fun."

Jinjiu immediately brings the Packers' offense to a faster speed, running below 4.30 for 40 yards of dash. But he is more than just a pony in the pass game.

"My route runs. I can run any route tree in the book - inside and outside." "Where it is, I can line up in the backcourt as well. Just have a good understanding of the game to create separate places without full speed. I know that very well - a lot of people think I'm not running fast on the field, but I don't have to run fast to open.

"I know that coming here to this organization, they will definitely help me with other tools that can help me with games. I'm so glad to be here, I'm so glad to have their guidance and I'm ready to go to work."

Golden was delighted and excited about the start of his NFL journey, and he felt a strong sense of community as he attended Laundry Day with former NFL lineman Anthony "Spice" Adams.

“It’s so cool,” Golden said of Tide’s work. "It was definitely a fun guy with Spice. We played a lot of games, so it was a cool experience for me. I always wanted to include commercial videos in Tides' business videos, and for that, it was really great for me."
