Alexander Isak scored twice in his eighth consecutive Premier League match to help Newcastle United beat struggling Wolves 3-0 at St James' Park on Wednesday.
Anthony Gordon scored the third goal off Isaac's assist as Newcastle moved into fourth place with 38 points from 21 games. Wolves have accumulated 16 points in the same games and are still in the relegation zone.
Only four players have scored in eight consecutive Premier League games, with Issac joining Jamie Vardy and Ruud van Nistelrooy, both of whom have scored twice, while Daniel Sturi Odd allowed the Swede to increase his tally of goals in the top flight this season to 15.
"I feel great," Isaac said. "Personally, I feel free and confident but looking at the team, we're also doing a good job defending and being a threat going forward.
"This is a team and I have to keep contributing to the goals. When we play our best, the players feel free.
"I also want to be able to express myself in the best possible way in my position."
There were some bright spots for Wolves, with Santiago Bueno's goal disallowed for handball and their Jurgen Strand-Larssen hitting the woodwork twice. But their defense remains their Achilles heel in this struggling season.
Newcastle United have won nine games in a row in all competitions and finished sixth in the Premier League as they aim to maintain their form in Champions League qualifying.
Wolves had their first great chance when Goncalo Guedes burst into the box but his eight-yard effort went just wide, while at the other end Isaac's shot went wide after being blocked by Bruno GuimarĂ£es. .

Wolves failed to challenge on the edge of the penalty area and Isaac's low shot was deflected into the lower left corner of the net.
The home side continued to create the better chances but Wolves looked dangerous on the break with Larsen hitting the outside of the post. Later he would hit the woodwork again.
Just an hour before the end, Isaac scored his second goal after receiving a clever pass from GuimarĂ£es in the penalty area, turning and finishing with coolness.
Gordon added Newcastle's third goal after second-half substitute Matheus Cunha fired wide when he should have been on target.
This time, Isaac became the organizer and passed the ball to Gordon in the penalty area. The forward easily shot into the visiting team's goal from 10 yards behind Jose Sa without being marked.
"This is a difficult team to play at home," Wolves coach Vito Pereira said. "We created a lot of scoring chances, the difference is they (Newcastle) scored at key moments of the game and we missed the goal."
