New York Music Month Announces Complete Timeline for 2025

The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment announced the full programming of the 8th New York Music Month, the city’s official music festival held every June.

Working with more than 50 music industry partners, Mome curated a variety of lineups of over 50 free events throughout June, including performances from emerging artists and discussion groups, workshops, and masterclasses on industry issues, art growth and professional development. The new website nymusicmonth.nyc can find the calendar of the entire event. The festival has also been upgraded with a revised creative direction and a completely redesigned website. “We are pleased to announce details of the 8th New York Music Month, where New Yorkers will receive over 50 free events across the city that will aim to entertain and educate the state of local and global music circles,” said Pat Swinney Kaufman, Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. “As usual, our flagship music conference began, which is more robust than ever. Congratulations to Mommy’s team leader, Shira Gans, the New York Music Month Initiative, curating the month for all New Yorkers to enjoy the event!”

The Tentpole Nymm conference will begin this month in partnership with NYU Steinhardt Music Business Program and will return to NYU Skirball Center on June 3. This year's conference is sponsored by Abkco, Songbird Creative, Sony Creative, Sony Audio, Don Londonres, Don Londonres and Hudson House Distillery. The event features 40 experts\.

Nymm Talks plans to host 36 free events to explore some of the most timely and relevant topics in today’s music industry. Highlights include a conference on stream fraud (Mintz Levin & Pryor Cashman), investment in music technology (Water & Music), Merch Cat, Vocal Training (Abiah Arts of Arts of Arts) and a real talk for artists’ marketing (Empire) and a savvy workshop to produce artists (MSMary's Music). The show will also have conversations with music legends like the young Guru and Anthony Cruz (Academic of Music, Sports and Entertainment) and Neil Giraldo (Artist).

NYMM Performance: The Nymm Performance program will include 18 free shows throughout the city, focusing on a variety of live music experiences and collaborations. This year includes the launch of Radio City, a new series created by co-signatures, celebrating New York’s independent non-commercial radio stations – WFMU, WFUV, WKCR, WNYC, WNYC, WNYE/AFROPOP WORLDWIED, as well as Lot Radio/DADA Strain, as well as direct performances and community engagement events that showcase their musical identity and artist visits. Additional performance highlights include a world broadcast date with Divinity Roxx and Friends, a family-friendly concert experience; five showcases of emerging artists produced by Sungate Records; and a young master of office performing arts + film showcase, composed of two-time Latin Grammy © Winner Ella Bric and NPR Tiny Desk contest champion Linda Diaz.
