New York Freedom Event hopes to repeat the WNBA champion in 2025.

But before they move forward, there was a chance to be the fourth WNBA series champion, and they celebrated once again last season. The Liberty Women were on the 2024 WNBA Championship Ring against Las Vegas ACE at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Freedom was one of the original WNBA franchises, winning the WNBA title last season, the first professional basketball championship in New York City since 1973. The ring was designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, as well as Brooklyn-based designers Dynasty and L'Enchanteur's Soul ogun ogun ogun ogun ogun ogun of l'Enchanteur.

"The 2024 WNBA championship of Liberty reflects the tenacity, determination and greatness of the team and the City itself," New York Liberty Governor Clara Wu Tsai said in a press release. "Our ring design goal is to respect our players, while also combining the spirit of Brooklyn. We were lucky enough to find collaborators who are also committed to the same mission. The craftsmanship of Jason of Beverly Hills combined with the artistry of the Ogun sisters brings an outstanding piece of jewellery."

Soull Ogun designed the ring with a free iconic torch and a symbolic pattern of leaves rising from concrete to pay tribute to New York's "concrete jungle."

“When creating the 2024 WNBA Championship ring, the New York Liberal Party reflected on our story on and off the court – we are committed to pursuing our dream of 28-year WNBA championships and our pride in bringing us to the New York champions,” said Keia Clarke, CEO of Liberty. “This ring is a tribute to every fan, every player who believes in New York Freedom and share in our unforgettable 2024 title.”

The ring is designed to tell stories of freedom. A diamond in the trophy commemorates the first WNBA champion of all time, and the 28 stones in "Leaf" symbolize the 28 years of the franchise. More than six carats of white diamonds represent Joe and Clara Voutai’s six years of ownership. Eleven black diamonds represent 11 playoff wins, while 32 points of 32 points won the regular season championship.

The square at the top of the ring opens to reveal a pair of earrings, designed specifically by Jason of Beverly Hills. Earrings are everyday items to wear that connect players to champions and rings.

“It’s not just a ring, it’s a responsibility,” Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills said of the ring. "The New York Liberty waited 28 years for this moment, and we knew the jewelry needed to reflect every ounce of that journey. From the torch to the concrete motif, every detail in this design was carefully chosen to honor the legacy, grit and password behind this historic win. Collaborating with Dynasty and Soull Ogun allowed us to create something truly unique, merging our craftsmanship with their powerful artistic vision and deep ties to Brooklyn.

"It's also the first time we've finished earrings inside the ring, which is really special. At Jason of Beverly Hills, we're proud to create a storytelling ring, and the 2024 New York Freedom story is a kind of resilience, purpose and transformation. It's an iconic celebration, and we're proud to be a part of it."

"We are honored to be a historic moment in sports with New York Freedom, bringing the championship to our hometown of Brooklyn," said the founder of founder L'Enchanteur. "The rough diamonds, too, grow out of concrete."
