New York Doll co-founder David Johansen suffers from cancer

David Johansen, the only surviving founding member of the New York Doll and a solo artist, also serves as lounge singer Buster Poindexter - suffering from stage 4 cancer, brain tumors and a broken back, And seeking financial aid relief fund through Sweet Musicians.

Johansen was diagnosed in 2020 in a desire to keep his illness private, but he shared the news on Monday due to financial burdens.
